Each booth in InterStar ICP has an independent timer synchronized automatically by all interpreters in the booth. Interpreters in different booths can have completely different settings for that booth only.

Look for the booth timer under the booth name.

The drop-down menu on the left allows you to select the duration of the shift: 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes or 30 minutes. 1 minute setting is used to test the timer to see how it operates.

Procedure: [can be done by any interpreter in the booth]
1] select the duration of the shift in the drop-down menu
2] click “Start Timer”. The countdown will start.
3] any interpreter in the booth can click “reset timer” to stop the timer
4] if necessary you can adjust the duration of the shift

when the countdown timer has reached 1 minute the digits will turn yellow.

Best practice: agree before the event who is going to reset the timer after each shift. it will make more sense for the interpreter who is starting the shift to do it. If one of the interpreters forgot to reset the timer you can always reset the timer yourself and it will be synchronized automatically for everyone in the booth.
