Sometimes when you join ICP your camera may be unavailable if it is already used by other software for example Zoom or WebEx.
It is not an issue with ICP, simply a hardware/OS limitation.
There are 3 workarounds:
-join ICP first before you join the RSI platform. In that way ICP is going to get your camera.
-Use video camera splitter software.
Here are some video camera splitter software options for both Windows and Mac:
1. SplitCam (Windows)
– A popular choice for splitting a webcam feed across multiple applications simultaneously. It also offers features like video streaming, effects, and more.
2. ManyCam (Windows and Mac)
– This software allows you to use your webcam with multiple applications at the same time. It also includes features like virtual backgrounds, effects, and screen sharing.
### 3. CamTwist (Mac)
– A versatile tool for Mac users, CamTwist allows you to split your webcam feed and apply various effects.
4. OBS Studio (Windows and Mac) or vMix (Windows) – While primarily broadcasting tools, OBS Studio and vMix can be configured to output your camera feed to multiple applications simultaneously using virtual camera plugins.
These tools should cover your needs for splitting video camera feeds on both Windows and Mac platforms.
-Do not use your camera in your main RSI event if it is not required.
