InterStar ICP has more “studio” kind of sound and not “online” kind of sound. Practically it means that there is no audio processing such as echo cancellation, or automatic microphone gain, or noise suppression.

The audio is “as is” from your microphone without distortions.

It means however that there are certain rules to follow to improve the audio quality that your boothmates are receiving:

    – because there is no noise suppression you must be in a quiet location with no fans or air conditioning or other noise sources

    – your microphone must be 4-6 inches from your mouth if you use a tabletop microphone

-If you have any audio processing on your microphone [noise suppression, etc.], please disable it

Keeping your microphone close will allow to improve audio quality that your boothmates are receiving and reduce the signal-to-noise ratio and as a result the background noise from your location.

Some squiet background noise will unfortunately be unavoidable online simply because interpreters are not working from completely sound isolated professional studios like for example radio broadcasters do.

You can always use “mute boothmates” button to turn off your boothmates’ audio.
