the interpreter console has 3 panels:
The left panel has event information [time zone etc.], the list of interpreters, technicians, and clients who have joined, ability to change your audio and video devices. It also has a bigger video of you boothmate that you have selected by clicking the thumbnail.
The center panel has thumbnails of your boothmate videos, a timer that allows you to understand how much time remains in your shift, quick message buttons, volume control for incoming audio from your boothmates, your microphone on/on button, the “cough cut” [you do not have to use it] that allows you to temporarily mute your microphone instead of turning it off, and the button that allows you to mute incoming audio from your boothmates if you don’t want to listen to them.
The right panel has the chat that allows you to text to everyone or to a particular booth or to a particular group for example technicians only.
In addition, there buttons at the top that allow you to refresh the interface if necessary, get help, report issue, or exit the console.
The interface is intuitive and does not take a lot of time to get used to.
