The technician or Chief Interpreter receives a link from InterStar ICP to join the technician console. The technician console is completely different from the interpreter console.

All that happens outside of the main RSI event through ICP only. It provides a separate completely independent communication channel within the interpretation team which may be important for privacy and security.

The the technician will be able to:

-see which interpreter is connected to the event
-hear the interpreters directly in InterStar ICP in every booth [audio only, with hearing protection]
-send quick messages to all interpreters, individual booths, clients (if connected to ICP), other technicians
-resolve standard contingency situations with interpretation by clicking preprogrammed buttons [for example, “2 interpreters on the same channel”, “interpreter speaking into a wrong channel”].

We constantly add new functionality. So check out the latest version of the console.
